Notes on the sources

Date disputed: most literature (Gottwaldt/Schulle, Yad Vashem, Gleis 17, berlin.de) gives 2 April 1942. statistik-des-holocaust.de shows that Reichsvereinigung correspondence gives 3 April 1942 for the Berlin deportees and that Gestapo Frankfurt/Oder letters state the transport left on 3 April and crossed the Reich border on 4 April (2 April being the day the Frankfurt/Oder deportees were taken to the assembly camp); 3 April is recorded as documented in the files, 2 April being the date commonly used in memorials. Count: 643 people on the Berlin Gestapo list (659 names, 16 deleted); with the Frankfurt/Oder group (366) the train totalled about 1,009 according to statistik-des-holocaust.de. Gottwaldt/Schulle "984/1025"; Yad Vashem "up to 1,025, among them up to 659 from Berlin"; Gleis 17 plate 641; Adam Czerniaków recorded 1,025 arrivals from Berlin on 5 April. Survivors: Rita Meyhöfer (via Yad Vashem) 1. Station disputed: Gleis 69 e.V. lists this train among those that left from Güterbahnhof Moabit (from 28 March 1942 on), whereas the Yad Vashem entry states it left from Grunewald station. Gleis 69 itself notes that the exact date of the switch from Grunewald to Moabit is not documented. Recorded as "moabit" following the Moabit station research; treat as uncertain.
