Notes on the sources

Count: 65 people on the Berlin Gestapo list; the train also carried about 427 Jews from the Potsdam district (including children and staff of the Israelitische Erziehungsanstalt Beelitz) and 446 from the Magdeburg district and Anhalt, a total of 938 according to statistik-des-holocaust.de. Gottwaldt/Schulle give 1,000 for the whole train ("Magdeburg – Potsdam – Berlin"); berlin.de "835 (1000)"; Yad Vashem "up to 1,000", Berlin list 70 names; Gleis 17 plate 67. Yad Vashem calls it the 14th transport ("Welle XIII a"); berlin.de leaves it unnumbered. Survivors: Yad Vashem notes that no survivors are listed in the Berlin memorial book; left null. Station disputed: Gleis 69 e.V. lists this train among those that left from Güterbahnhof Moabit (from 28 March 1942 on), whereas the Yad Vashem entry states it left from Grunewald station. Gleis 69 itself notes that the exact date of the switch from Grunewald to Moabit is not documented. Recorded as "moabit" following the Moabit station research; treat as uncertain.
